ABOUT MAISHA NUB 

Maisha Nub is a trailblazing LBTQ organization founded by dedicated members of the LBQ community in Rwanda. Our aim is to address the challenges faced by the LBTQ+ and GNC community within Rwandan society. Through heartfelt storytelling and talent development initiatives, we strive to enhance self-esteem, promote recovery from trauma, depression, etc. Our projects advocate for and support members of the LBTQ+GNC community, empowering them to overcome the societal hurdles they encounter. At Maisha Nub, we are committed to becoming a beacon of hope for generations to come, sharing our life stories as a means of healing , inspiration and tail our way to the future.

OUR MISSION IS 

Maisha Nub's mission is to create a safe haven for the LBTQ community, particularly addressing the difficulties arising from family issues, low self-esteem, educational and employment setbacks. by providing accessible spaces for healing and transforming narratives through storytelling and talent development, we aim to foster inclusivity and sustainable growth.

OUR VISION IS 

We envision a community where every individual has access to a safe healthy, and sustainable environment, allowing them to dream and achieve their highest aspirations. As a cornerstone of support, Maisha Nub seeks to provide a secure space and resources for at-risk LBTQ+GNC individuals.

OUR GOAL

Our ultimate goal is to spread the strength and resilience of the LGBTQ+ community, to empower them instead of spoon feeding them looking into technically upgrading them with skills  acquire the skills and ensuring that each individual can embrace their full potential.

MISSION STATEMENT  

Our mission is dedicated to creating a compassionate and inclusive society where all individuals in the LBTQ+ and Gender Non-Conforming (GNC) communities can thrive. Through a comprehensive range of initiatives, we strive to make a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve.

We are committed to providing easily accessible safety information and secure spaces throughout the city, offering crucial support to LBTQ+ and GNC individuals who may have experienced discrimination or are in need of emotional assistance. Our unwavering goal is to empower and uplift LBTQ+ and GNC Rwandan youth facing challenging circumstances, equipping them with the resources they need for holistic self-development.

In times of crisis, we are here to lend a helping hand through crisis intervention and counseling services that encompass peer, parental, and spiritual guidance. Our holistic approach includes programs designed to enhance self-esteem, facilitate trauma recovery, and address the complexities of stress, depression, and anger.

Education stands at the core of our mission. We are dedicated to fostering awareness and understanding through educational initiatives, including academic support and human rights education. Collaborating with esteemed partners like the Amnesty Human Rights Academy, we aim to broaden horizons and create a more informed and empathetic society.

In our pursuit of inclusivity, we provide shelter and refuge specifically catered to LBQ individuals, ensuring they have a safe haven to turn to. We believe in the power of art and storytelling, which is why we run a production program that amplifies voices, generates income, raises community awareness, and drives advocacy for transformative change.

In all our endeavors, we remain resolute in our mission to create a more inclusive, accepting, and supportive environment for LGBTQ+GNC individuals, ultimately striving for a society where everyone can thrive and live authentically.
